The Handle is invalid

please! Help! I am getting an error message when I try to log on to the network with my XP Pro base PC....."the System cannot log you on because of the following error: The handle is invalid".

Any suggestions on how to solve this mess?

problems fit you from the Microsoft Knowledge base. There are multiple pages. 20 per page, just click "next" at the bottom.
