Why is Hotmail doing THIS, too?

I have other issues with Hotmail, including very long "Loading" phases, where it repeatedly tells me it is "done" but as soon as I move the mouse, something else starts loading. It must be loading in the background, because the bar in the lower left goes thru a whole series of items, pictures, etc that are bring loaded, but I see no changes on the screen. It sometimes takes a full minute before I can do anything in Hotmail because of all the stuff it is supposedly loading. Is there a way to speed this up or stop it? I am operating off a Verizon Wireless modem, with 3G service. Latest version of Verizon Access Manager.

Clarification request: Hotmail is web based email.

And as the companies add more advertising and such to web mail, such can happen.

Did you try other browsers such as Chrome and Firefox?
