Encrypted file help

i have an old windows xp hardrive that i mistakenly encrypted a few years ago. I tried to tranfer the files using a usb to ide cable but it didnt work. i looked online and i says that my files are unrecoverable because i don't have the certificate/key. can i plug the old hard drive in another windows xp computer to unencrypt the files? I refuse to give up on getting these files, there are very important to me! sad

If the OS can boot then you can decrypt them as well as copy out the key.

BTW, if you fail, http://www.lostpassword.com has the app you need.

driver not working

Hey, thanks for your suggestions. The driver is not spinning, so it's not showing up in the scans that i did with Encryption Analyzer. I'm trying to find a place to fix the driver, Gillware Data says it might cost $350-$500 so now i'm trying to find cheaper alternatives.

I've yet to see a driver spinning so I can't offer any ideas. If you want to try this on a copy, look at http://www.vmlite.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=41&Itemid=130

http://www.lostpassword.com/purchase/index.htm are all less than 300 so why would you pay more? Who is Gilmore?
