I am wondering if anybody has tried the new DVD shrink 2012. I am looking for general impressions of it. Like how it works or what ever thoughts people have of it. Thank you.

CNET tried the older version long ago but as you can tell, current protected DVDs are designed to fail.

On the upside many titles are showing up with digital copies so you don't need this software.

Still Use The 3.2.0.15 Version Here...

Since I only use it to reduce the size of DVD's and the old version is still free (the new version appears to have a fee after the free trial), the old version works for what I need it to work for.

yes i tried both the dvd shrinks, the old one dvd shrink 3.2 and the new one dvd shrink 2012 version and i have to say that the last one is much better under several points of views like:

1. better user interface
2. dvd converter integrated in the software
3. dvd player integrated too
4. more shrinking capacity and speed

i am very happy especially about the converter software inside, it allows me to convert the output video in many formats. basically you have 2 software for the price of one and quite cheap price.
i definitely recommend 2012 version.
