Windows XP forum: Notebook keeps restarting

Notebook keeps restarting

HP Compac No 4200 keeps restarting. I've tried F8 key and disabling the automatic restart...doesn't work. I've tried going to Safe Mode, keeps restarting.
Any suggestions?

How? Read the next link and it applies to XP too. It also can be booted from USB (see link that follows) and once your files are safe, try HP's restore to factory image feature.
