Hi,

I'm going to be doing a new install on a 'Windows' only drive. I want to be able to have Windows place programs and data on a separate drive. Is this possible when doing the install?

Folk have tried for years but never were able to move (for example) Office files completely from C:\Program Files.

Are you trying that failed system where folk try to keep the C drive just for the Windows OS (again)?

Thanks for the reply,

I was hoping to, getting a bit fed up of one partition getting full of programs. I also want to be able to make a image of just the Windows system so I can restore quickly if any problems show up.

At least someone warned you about it.

Yes, many apps let you install the app to another drive but as you'll discover, something is always put on the Windows OS drive and what you are attempting has been tried for many years with the same complaints over and over.
