Factory Restore Issues

I just got my computer from a guy who didn't want it anymore its a compaq presario sr1124nx it was running really slow and still is,i tried doing a factory restore on it but every time i do it pops up a system.32 error. Does anyone know why its doing this? It won't even let me do remote assistance. Someone please help.

Those restore systems can be damaged.

We have malware, user errors and more.

You'll want to use the recovery media (CD or DVD) next. Some folk don't have such so it's going to cost a little if you buy it from HP.

Might be a good time to install and use Linux if money is an issue.
