Hi
I am trying to set up a dual monitor with my tv I have a Y splitter cable. However i can only get one monitor to work at once.
I put everything back as it was and now when i power up i get the windows loading screen and then no signal where the log on screen should be.
does anyone know what i should do to get at least one screen working?

The clue is the splitter cable.

No simple cable has done well.
Let's toss that out and see what other video source we can add or use.

just to clarify when i plugged the original screen back in i didn't have a splitter cable on how do you reset the video card settings without logging on?

Even if I boot Safe Mode, I must log on to reset the video card settings.
Maybe you forgot about Safe Mode?

Hi.
i tried booting up in safe mode and the main monitor is fine. however i can't keep it like that when i then power up in normal mode an system restore doesn't work in safe mode. how do i reset the video card settings so that they will work in normal mode?

PS. if i can get the 2 screens to work i know that they will have the same display (which is what i want anyway).

Hi. When i loaded up in safe mode everything was fine and i could log on without loosing my video signal however i cant find a way to reset the video card settings from here, Am i being dim here an if so how do i reset the video card settings from safe mode as i cant use system restore.
