I have Dell desktop XP operating system. My YouTube audio just
disappeared but if I download it and play it using GOM player there is
sound. I lost audio sometime before and just came back 2 days later
without doing a thing. This time it's one week now and no miracles.
What's the solution? (Sometimes some news clips have no audio too).

So your Google failed to find anything for Disable Flash Hardware Acceleration?
My Google finds it without problem here in the UK.

I found the "Disable.." in Google... What I can't find is my "Settings" button in my XP desktop computer. I find this easily in my Laptop (Vista). But it's in my desktop that I am having the audio problem.

The disable flash setting is not found in the Settings button on any XP desktop. I think you should check those web pages again.

For example some use those registry cleaners or this happens after they install the OS or remove some malware/trojan/virus.
Your story is still too light to offer more ideas than than to start with a common issue then progress to more ideas such as the mute setting, the mixer volumes and then more like http://en.kioskea.net/forum/affich-22335-no-sound-on-internet

Thanks, used the en.kioskea link you supplied and cut/pasted the Registry Editor V5 from there to mine.
(No Reboot) ... Played YouTube ....Bingo ! It's Magic.

I can't guess why those items would be missing from the registry except for the fact I see TOO MANY FOLK USING REGISTRY CLEANERS and then weird issues like this one.
Magic is fine in video games.
