My grandfather has a Dell Dimension B100 that has bad some recent issues.

First issue is there are two HDDs in the computer. One is a 80gig C:/ Drive, and a 5gig E:/ Drive. E is set as the primary drive for some reason, and 4.6gigs are used up. I need to know how to go into BIOS and set C to be the primary HDD.

The last issue just popped up yesterday. My grandfather called me into the computer room because the internet kept saying there was no connection. I went to control panel and network connections and found that the LAN had disappeared. I tried to set up a new LAN but when I exited the wizard setup there was no new connection. I tried a disc I found laying around from his ISP, but I need 150mb of space to install the program.

Any idea where the LAN would've disappeared to?

The primary drive is the master on IDE 1. That's physical, not something that's defined in the BIOS. So you have to open the case and switch cables.

But, most likely, the PC won't work after you do that, because it will try to boot from a non-bootable drive. Then you need to reinstall Windows on that 80 GB drive. Take care!

You don't need a disk from the ISP to set up a LAN. It's perfectly allowed to have a LAN (home network) without it being connected to Internet. In fact, you don't even setup a LAN. A home network sets up itself if two PC's that are configured rightly meet each other.
But it isn't clear what happened, indeed.
