Remote share not opened after changed remote server password

I have opened the remote server share with credentials in my desktop and changed the remote server password. now not able to open the same shared folder with old and new password. After restarting my desktop its working. without restarting is there any other option available ???

Did you try logging out and back in?

I don't have the complete picture of the server in use, but this reminds me of an old LIMITATION we encountered years ago. You see it today as your machine must reboot to install updates.
