Windows XP forum: Network printer won't print no error messages

Network printer won't print no error messages

When a user tries to print a document, the usual little printer rectangular window pops up but then nothing after that. no error messages. I am able to get at the configuration page of the printer Via entering the IP address in the browser's address bar.
Here I entered default dns. Didn't work.
Any ideas.

If so, what has changed since it last worked?

You mention 'a user' so is this a workplace setup? If so, see what the IT Department techs say.

Its been intermitent so for this reason I have directed this problem to the folks who look after the wall network connection.
I thought there could be something I could do on my end but for now its out of my hands. thanks
