Most CRT monitors could do this quite easily, and some LCD monitors can too, to a degree.

The computer is actually outputting to a NEC projector. I've looked through the options on the projector and it lets you "magnify" more, but not less. There aren't any other options.

I think I need something like Catalyst Control center, like in the picture R. Proffitt provided.
The computer I'm outputting from is a Gateway E-4500S. The specifications sheet for it lists the onboard graphics as "Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 with up to 224 MB shared memory."

Is there anything like Catalyst Control center that would work for integrated Intel graphics?

Tried Powerstrip

I've tried Powerstrip, but after creating a custom resolution, I can't get it to stick. After the required restart, it doesn't show up in the resolution slider. Also, is a custom resolution what I want? Remember, I want to change the physical size of the image...

By "next step" do you mean "replace the monitor with one that works proper"? That's not possible.

Is Powerstrip meant to change the size of the image and not just the resolution and it's just not working for me? Would a cheap ATI graphics card and Catalyst Control center do this for me?
