Open programs not showing in taskbar

When I open a program it does not appear in the Taskbar. When I minimize a window, it does not appear in the Taskbar and I need to Alt/Tab to know what is open and maximze program windows.

Not the problem

Machine was just scanned and cleaned. Have had this problem for some time, but can't pinpoint when or how it started.

If IEFIX doesn't fix, then search more and finally start over.

In closing I do run into a few that:

a. Don't perform scans when asked.
b. Continue to use Internet Explorer exclusively.

Sadly, those users tend to burn out.

Anthony, Go to the link below and under the letter "T"-"Taskbar" download & run the "Minimized Programs Missing" .vbs fix.
"To use the VBS Files: Download .vbs file and save it to your hard drive (you may want to right click and use Save Target As). Double click the vbs file. You will be prompted when the script is done".

Malicious Script

It's SAFE to download & run and is not a malicious script.

Anthony, It's safe to download & run that .vbs file.

"NOTE: If your anti-virus software warns you of a "malicious" script, this is normal if you have "Script Safe" or similar technology enabled. These scripts are not malicious, but they do make changes to the System Registry"
