Problems w/keybrd while using Offline NT Password & Registry

Hello. Last year I was advised by your site, to try using the Offline NT Pswd & Registry Editor program to help resolve my lost password issue on my computer. I'm happy to say, it worked great; no hitches. Unfortunately, because of the same problem on same computer, I've had to use it again, because I didn't create a pswd reset disk, like I SHOULD HAVE! First some info on my system: I have a Dell Optiplex 745, and am running Windows XP Prof; SP3. Here's my problem: I'm booting from the same disk that was created last year. STEP#5 says: after initial startup of computer is complete, the Offline NT Pswrd & Registry Editor menu should display on screen (it does). Then at the boot: prompt, press ENTER. STEP#6: (waiting for linux to load files, etc.) and then STEP#7: is to select the partition that contains the Windows installation that I want to delete a password from. It is at this point, that my keyboard wont allow me to type/enter anything...not even ENTER. Any suggestions as to why it would allow me to do so on Step #5 and not allow me to imput anything on Step# 7? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
