Windows XP forum: vertical lines on left margin of email body

vertical lines on left margin of email body

I use OE v6, Some of my emails [esp with jpgs in body] have 3 to 6 vertical lines on the left margin. Where do the lines come from? How can I get rid of the vertical line before I forward. Any help, THANK YOU!

Some e-mail programs (but not all, and it might be a setting in some of the some) put such a line before the full text of the mail they reply to or forward. That can be a lot of lines if it has been replied to or forwarded a lot of times.

Nothing the receiver of the mail can do about it.

forwarded emails use to be indicated by: <<<<
and they still do. However, the karats can be erased with a program
by name of: eFilter 3.1, which I do use. The vertical lines can drive one crazy!
