Windows System Error - There is an IP address conflict...

when I boot up my pc I get the message Windows System Error - There is an IP address conflict... anyone know how to fix this really annoying problem.

EG:

"Windows System Error: There's an IP address conflict with another system on the network"

Without knowing more all we could suggest is Google searching that error. When I did, I found another discussion in these forums here;

How many nodes are on your network?

It sounds like one (at least one) of them has a fixed IP address and your router is trying to assign the same address to another node.

You need to look at each node's configuration to see how its address is assigned and correct what is wrong.

IP Conflict

Are you using Windows & another (Linksys) to connect "wirelessly"? A friend of mine had that issue on his laptop. I told him to choose which one he liked better. Stopped the issue on the first reboot.
