Windows XP forum: Firefox Crashing

Firefox Crashing

For some reason in the last couple of months Firefox has been crashing on me, and I have absolutely no idea why it is. I've been using Firefox for years and have never had any problems with it before.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks! : )

Firefox Crashing

Firefox has been crashing lately for me, too. It has crashed many times today. I changed to another default browser because of it. I don't know why it's crashing either. I have not had this problem with it before. I am running Windows 7, 64 bit. I sent in the crash reports when it occurred. Does anyone know what is causing this?

Try the usual, and start with any new plugins or extensions you may have installed/updated.

Thanks, Jimmy. I will try that. Usually when something goes wrong with Firefox it's because of some new plugin or update. I try to keep it to a minimum with the plugins for that reason.

Firefox Crashing Problem

Hi,

The complete system scan is suggested to remove malware from the system. If the damage is with the browser, then uninstall the tool from the system and install a new Firefox browser compatible with Windows XP. The update process on the existing browser should be done only from Mozilla website. Else, third-party tools can crash on the Operating System.
