Why is my server so unstable........

I have Windows XP Professional Version 2002, Service Pack 3 and I've noticed recently, that when I am online, my puter will all of a sudden get knocked off the server. I dont' know why this so much, nor how to fix the problem. I get the message "can't find server", with Firefox and Internet Explorer. I then have to log off and reboot, which costs me money as I use my computer in my small business. This is very frustrating and I need to know how to fix the problem. Please help me. I recently moved to an apartment from a house and I'm wondering if that may have something to do with it....maybe all the signals in an apartment setting are crossing or something....I simply don't know. I never had this problem when I lived in a house. Thanks again!

It's possible, but you give absolutely no details about your Internet connection, so that's all the more anyone can say.

ok, my bad....sorry, this is my first post. But, I do have att.net DSL and I also have a Linksys router and Lightyear VOIP box attached too, but I've never had problems in my house, so that's why I thought perhaps it may be due to being in an apartment now. Anyway, I would really appreciate any troubleshooting tips so I can correct this problem ...thanks again!
