Merge D: drive with C: drive

I have two hard drives. The 20 gb drive contains C:, with 15 gb, and D:, with 5. The 80 gb. drive is partitioned into E:, F:, and G:. I would like to merge the D: drive into C:, using Partition Magic. Since this would change the designations of the other drives to D:, E:, and F:, I'm wondering if Windows XP Home, SP1, will be able to find the programs on those drives, or would I have to reinstall everything?
