HP Pavilion dv6000 Quick Play Problems

Hi
I have a 2 Year old HP dv600 Laptop that causes endless grief
The computer boots up with the HP quick Play display on screen
with a choice of three selections DVD.Music and Windows OS
When Windows OS is selected the Computer goes in to search which takes up to 1-2 Min.and then goes in to sleep mode
The only way to get it to boot up at all is to boot in to safe mode and then restart
I have uninstalled HP quick launch with no results it seems Quick Play is a Keyboard service and there doesn't seem any way to circumvent the Key
I hope some on e can help
I run XP Pro 160 GB HD & 768 MB Mem

Time to restore from the factory media.

I've seen this issue and the customer did not want to pay for the time to fix it so we restored from the factory image and it's fine now. For the dv6000 you use those restore dvds you made or press F11. From HP ->
" Restore the PC to its original condition with the HP Recovery Manager if Windows Vista is not accessible
If the PC cannot launch into Windows, it may still be possible to use the HP Recovery Manager on the hard drive to restore the computer to its original operating condition by first pressing the Power button to start the PC, and then pressing the F11 key to start the HP Recovery Manager."
