I'm a simple folk, and I need things explained to me, carefully,
Do you access your GMail account from your web browser?
If you try to send scanned pictures through GMail, it sends it through OE. That's where I am having difficulty. Are you saying that, when in your GMail account in a web browser, if you create a new email and attach an image file, Outlook Express then opens? Does it open as you are searching your hard drive for the image to attach, or does it open when you click Send?
I don't use OE, but use Thunderbird instead as my main email software. But my usual email account, (from my ISP), I can also access from the ISP's web site. So I have two options. Either open Thunderbird and it will download emails from my ISP's server, (just as OE would), or goto my ISP account in my web browser, log in, and the browser will download any new emails.
In my web browser I can send emails, and any attachments, and Thunderbird never opens.
What is actually happening in your case?
Mark
