CHKDSK FAILS TO REPAIR

I have 250gb drive installed as slave in XP system. It is partitioned in 3 parts. One of the parts is ok. The other two have errors. Chkdsk says errors were found but could not fix because /f was not chosen. I do the /f option, then it says can't do it (do you want to perform function upon reboot) Choosing this option always checks drive C and not any of the other drives. There is data on the drive that i hope to recover. Any suggestions? Would seatools or some other utility possibly be of use?
