Problems with Quicktime

Default Language: English
DirectX* Version: 9.0
on a
Dell Dimension DIM 3000
Intel Pentium IV Revision: 02 3 GHz clock
512 MB Ram
2 Hard Disks 80 GB and 160 GB (USB)

INTEL(R) EXTREME GRAPHICS 2
Driver Version: 6.14.10.4396
Minimum Graphics Memory: 1 MB
Maximum Graphics Memory: 96 MB
Graphics Memory in Use: 10 MB
Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller
Video BIOS: 2972
Monitor: Acer X221W 21 inch diagonal landscape format
Current Graphics Mode: 1680 by 1050
True Color (32 bit)
60 Hz refresh rate


Some time ago while updating Quicktime there was a crash
Ever since Quicktime does not run and no update can be successfully installed

I tried to remove Quicktime and reinstall it but the same problem persists

Does anyone have a solution?
