How do i recover a deleted shortcut icon on XP?

Microsoft Word 2003 working but I deleted shortcut/icon and can't find it ANYWHERE.
I use old dox to create new dox but i cant find the program itself in MS OFFICE file or the c: drive.
i think it was when i ran a registry cleaner.
what i have done is
1.look through the utilities for logs of deleted programs (not there)
2. run search from start menu and nothing
3. ran recuva program and no luck

Any suggestions except "don't be so stupid"?

The program file is called winword.exe. And if you deleted only the shortcut to it, you should be able to find it.
It's in the same folder as excel.exe, if you happen to have that. Look at the properties of your shortcut to Excel to find that.

If all else fails, just do a repair install from your Office CD.
