Problems to re-install Nero

Hi. I had Nero 6 preinstalled on the computer since the start. I tried Nero 9 trial. Did not like due to much options in the basic program. I removed Nero 9 in according to instructions + Used the program General Clean Tool from Nero AG. Now I can not re-install Nero 6 SE via original CD.I have tried to remove more Nero posts via Program and via access to Register/Software etc.
I also find in the Register a post called Software/ICE/Do not install
What is that? Could that be the reason for not accepting a new istallation from Nero. Nero installation also gives a msg " a previous newer installation require a restart of computer to be able to continue installation" I have tried to re boot but same msg re-appear.Nero Scout is also staying and I can not remove.

Remnants Of The New Install Remain..

Try using the Nero with the "Nero General Clean Tool" at the link below.. Afterwards, use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to clean out all the remnants of Nero.. Once everything is gone, Nero 6 should install.

Hi and thanks.
I have already tried the things you wrote. It does not help and the Nero scout stays.I am now trying the RegCleaner(not MS regcleaner).
Nero and Ahead does not show but I have a post in the register called Software/ICE/Do not install?Do you know what that is?Is it Nero related.
I have asked Nero and got the answer to do what I already done??

I Used General-CleanTool+PerfectUninstaller_Setup+RegCleaner+msicuu2.
I'll give it another go via your links. I will report back.

No respod

Hi again.
I am back after trying the suggestions. Nothing worked. I can see the Nero scout but when I click on it(+) to open, nothing happens. When clicking on the (+) on other posts they open as they should but not Nero Scout.
Must be another way to get rid of Nero + Scout. There must be some "thing" belonging to Nero that is not named Nero or Ahead that is blocking removal.
