USB stick not working

Dear All,

I decided to re-install XP on my Dell but first I saved almost 2 Gbytes worth of data onto a memory stick.

After the re-installation of XP I find that the USB stick cannot be read. In fact, when I try the memory stick on other computers I have the same problem. The memory stick worked on the old installation of XP after data had been saved to it.

Any ideas?

These things DO fail

These things DO fail after awhile. The fact that it is failing to be recognized by multiple systems suggests that it's dead, and the data on it is gone.

Never on the OS CD.

In the case of Dell you follow their instructions for using the supplemental CD or type your Service Tag for the drivers at Dell.com. There is no automatic driver install here. You get to do this.

Could Try IsoBuster

I am not sure if will help?

Download and install the Free IsoBuster.

You will have to go to = File = Open = navigate to - My Computer = and there you should have the drive simbol of your "Memory Stick" =
From there you maybe able to view/extract your files
