Sharing Wireless Internet connection w/ xbox

I have a wireless network setup at my house using MICROSOFT BROADBAND BASE STATION (Router) and Wireless USB adaptor.

Im on the computer that uses the usb wireless pc adaptor (MN-510). I want my xbox in my room to connect to the internet. Since i don't have the base station (Router) in my room obviously i can't hook it up to the base station which is down stairs. I search around and also read on this site that you can do a shared internet connect or bridging.

(BACKTRACK ALITTLE HERE)
Since i'am using one of my USB port on my computer for my (USB WIRLESS ADAPTOR) i have a ethernet slot open where i can connect my xbox to my ethernet port using a cross over cable. but i can't get it to where it sharing internet. I'v tried ICS and bridging but i can't seem to config it properly.

Can anyone help, or has successfully shared connection on a wireless network.

I see a router. All I see is needed is the cable from the XBOX to the (Microsoft) router. If you were to try to use the PC as some sort of bridge, that's a fun idea, but double NAT'ing is beyond most.

Instead get a long cable or a Wifi for the XBox.

I know i can use the router to hook up my xbox but the router is down stairs. The xbox is in my room where i use the wireless adaptor to connect to the internet, now im trying to share my internet connection with my xbox.

XBOX -TO- PC (ETHERNET PORT)

PC -TO- WIRELESS USB BROADBAND ADAPTOR -TO-

--> Down stairs PC where BASE STATION is located..

((SHARING INTERNET CONNECTION))

The config you noted is too must stress for the casual networker. A wifi for the XBox or an Ethernet bridge would have made this easy.

Maybe someone will dive in and step you through it, but in my view, we would spend 20+ exchanges and you could have a firewall installed and won't give it up.

I pass.
