Windows Xp Error Code 0x80004005

Okay, so I'm having this problem.
I am running on Windows XP and one day I decided to Start Using Service Pack 2. I installed it and everything seemed to be working fine and then it asked me to restart my computer so it could work. I restarted it and ever since then when I turn on my computer it goes to the screen where I would type in my password and I click Administrator and type my pass and then it says "A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for this computer. Error Code: 0x80004005"
If someone could tell me how to get my computer to work again that would be great and if you can please try to keep it simple becuase I'm only 17 and dont know a whole lot about computers.

You may receive error code 0x80004005 or other error codes when you try to start a Windows XP-based computer
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/914232

This error can also occur if the computer is using a pirated version of XP. The Service Pack update blocks the bogus product key and tells you about it.

Yeah I went to those site and i tried them but i got so lost trying to figure out how to do any of it. I'm not sure if my version of XP is pirated. I dont think it is... but if that is the case if i uninstall the version of XP i have now and buy a new disc and install that will i still have all my programs and files on my computer??

Hi there, Thanks for the help have printed out the Microsoft how to page and will try again to correct the problem, All I wanted to do was uninstall AVG and discovered this huge problem.My Tech guy is away earning lots of money from the mines in Queensland and cant help me anymore and I'm not in a position as an aged pensioner to afford high tech charges so must learn to do it all myself if I can.Microsoft in Australia will not assist me.

Hi there,
Do you have AVG antivirus on system?If yes read this post about same problem on XP systems.It seems that AVG can generate error like this after system update or after AVG version upgrade.
