discolored fonts in firefox 3

When I go to a site with a dark background and white text, and text looks blurry and discolored, giving it that red and green around the edges look. When I highlight a part of the text, all the text on that particular line then becomes slightly bolder and looks correct. I checked to make sure it wasn't the NoSquint addon causing this, and it wasn't. It still did it when I disabled it. I have cleartype enabled.

Try turning cleartype off

and see if it changes. Those odd colors bleeding in look fairly typical of some LCDs. Of course make sure you're using it's native resolution. As well, MS has a cleartype tuner program you can download and see if it makes a difference.

Thanks I used the cleartype tuner on the microsoft site and it seemed to fix it
