How to uninstall remote desktop from xp service pack-3

OS- XP professional SP3
Issue: When I tried to run Remote Desktop, I get a message :
---------------------------------------------------
"the pre release version has expired, to download the full version, go to Windows Update or contact your system administrator"
---------------------------------------------------
Then I downloaded the Remote Desktop software and tried to install, it complains that I already have it Installed and the setup exits.

How do I uninstall the current pre realese version and reinstall the full version.

Simple, you have to uninstall your pre-release copy of SP3. Since the "real" one was delayed at the last minute and isn't out yet, save for a few copies floating around some torrent sites for volume license copies.

You did have a plan for how you were going to remove the pre-release version of SP3 to replace it with the final version, right? And you came up with this plan before you installed the pre-release version of SP3 right? If not, it seems you dug your own hole, and now you have to learn to climb out of it.

System restore back to before you installed it.

It really makes sense to install pre-release copies on test systems only. Never try them on your 'production' system. Jimmy and I fully agree on this, I think.
