Hi all,
My computer failed to start in normal mode (hung up) and when started in Safe Mode,
event viewer showing below error

'The device, \Device\Harddisk1\D, has a bad block.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.'

I ran chkdsk and chkntfs and they are saying all drives are healthy. Please help me how to resolve this problem?

When will you install a new hard disk?

My computer have 2 HDD (seagate), one is 2 years old and the second one is 8 months. When i disconnected 2nd HDD, computer started normally.

Is this means my second HDD failed sad ? Is there anyway i can rectify the issue (make HDD work normally) or at least take backup?

Please help me....

The cable is bad. Sorry but that clue was in your reply and not your top post. Seagate has a test program (seatools?) to help you determine if the drive has too many bad spots or fails S.M.A.R.T.

Same issue with my USB HDD

When I connect my usb hdd i face the same issue in one of the 2 partition. Not even allowing me to take backup of the same..... Plzzzzz help Guys
