Windows XP forum: How do I wipe a computer clean?

1. First of all:- Count how many partition, you are having in your hard drive.
2. Except the "C" drive, format all other partition with NTFS system.
3. Arrange a CD of Windows XP, then load a fresh copy of the operating system by formating "C" drive.

YOUR PC WILL BE CLEANED.

there 2 programs that i find works well all thou i think there the same one but with different names.......1 is called dban and the other
is called drive scrubber it takes a while for it to compleate depending on size of hard drive in some cases it could take up to
8 hrs to wipe clean it makes it like a new drive off the shelf
wheres theres nothing at all on it i know drive scrubber comes with
system mechanics 7 i beleave as 1 of the tools it has to be copyed
to a blank disk then you have to go into bios and make the d drive
the first disk it sees when it boots up when you change that save then
reboot with the cd inside the cd rom drive and do what it says from there and voowhaalaa its now a clean hard drive now insert your
operating system that you want and it will create a partition for you
if your using 2 drives you want it on drive 1 not drive 0 it will
use both but main files will be on 1 for config while it keeps
the other files on 0 drive but you will always still have to defragg
both drives thou at same time and compress files on both drives as well after install then defragg then reboot and change back to hard drives this time you want the 1 drive first then the 0 drive 2nd
