fonts on desktop too large

Hi all. I have recently been having a problem with the fonts on my desktop becoming too large and in boldface type. I haven't changed any setting, so I checked for virus and spyware. All tests came out clean. I used my AVG Pro, trend micro's online house call, ewido's online scanner, Ad-Aware, the free windows online scanner from microsoft, and windows defender. All clean. This happens at random times, and I can't pin it down. A reboot fixes it, but that is annoying. I have posted pictures of this at the following url: http://swopey78.tripod.com/ If anyone can offer any advice or fixes I would appreciate it. Thanks.

It's the Taskbar, not the fonts...........

that look bigger. R Click on Taskbar at bottom of screen and put a check next to "Lock the Taskbar"
(click on lock........"

I tried locking the taskbar, but it was already locked. The fonts for the taskbar, the desktop, and the start button are all oversized. I can't pin it down as to when it happens or why.

swope1221, Go to Start>Control Panel and open your Display Properties, under the Appearance tab change the Font Size: to "Normal" using the drop down arrow button, click Apply/OK.
