looking for windows 95 emulator or something

I am running windows xp home. I have a game that requires windows 95 to run. Is there an emulator or program that i can run to help solve this problem.

Try Compatibility Mode first

R-click the program name/icon and select properties. Click the compatibility tab and check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and choose Win 95. You might have to adjust display settings here as well.

You're going to have to set up a dual boot. Trouble is, with XP already installed, installing any of the 9x/Me series of Windows will make XP unbootable.

Best solution I've ever come up with, is to find some old clunker system that you use just for these sorts of things. Ask some of your friends if they have an older system collecting dust they'd be willing to let you have, poke around ebay, etc. You can use it for all the old games and other programs that won't run on XP. It also makes for a decent emergency system you can use if your main one ever is damaged somehow.

should be your first effort and if that simply does not work you can install Win 95 for a dual boot (preferably on a second drive) even after Win XP has already been installed and in use without disturbing XP. An even better solution though is to get a copy of Microsoft Virtual PC which allows you to install Win 9X within the Windows XP Host as a Guest OS. You can even downnload it from Microsoft for a free 45 day trial.

Although Microsoft doesn't support Virtual PC's use for Linux or BSD guest systems most distros will work just fine here is a list of some that have been tried - http://vpc.visualwin.com/
