Re:How do I open Microsoft WORD on Windows XP?
If you do not have Microsoft Word installed, then 'Word' files can be opened with 'Word Pad', which comes with XP-look in 'Accessories', however, there will be loss of formating -At Wordpad, go to File-Open, choose the file type as Win Word or .doc and browse to the document you want to open.
The other way it to download Microsoft Word Reader, which is free. You can find it if you google it.
Yet another way is to download the free Open Office Suite (from openoffice.org) The office suite is much like MS Office, and you can use its 'Writer' program, to open Word files...
