Delete Files in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download?

Hi there,

Does anyone know if it safe to delete the contents of the c:\windows\softwaredistribution\download folder? I have this folder on an XP SP2 desktop here at work and the subfolders of that folder above all seem to be several hundred MB each and I'm wondering if I can safely delete them to free up disk space?

Any feedback is much appreciated.

How I delete such if the delete key doesn't work: MOVEONBOOT from google.com

As to safety, I remember deleting that. Nothing bad happened. I can't tell what happens on your machine.

I believe that it didn't affect any machine I removed them on. I can't tell what will happen to your machine.
