how to number lines on microsoft works word processor

I have to number every line of an interview transcript and cannot seem to figure out how to do this on microsoft works word processor??? I have tried format-bullets and numbering-numbering but it only numbers the start of each paragraph..i need every line numbered...any advice please!!!???

Open Office does this.
