Windows Me forum: ME safe mode

ME safe mode

Hi,
When I boot the computer up (It's an old computer) it comes up with a list of safe mode options menu. It is set out like this:

- Normal
- Configure
- Safe Mode
(ect)

When choosing any {I've tried them all} It goes to the safe mode screen (low graphics) However; there is also no icons to click and you can't do anything. It's like all of my documents and files have been deleted.

When it's in the menu, it says reg scan but how do I do it? It won't let me type anything or click/imput anything.

It may be that you don't see the icons because in safe mode, the screen resolution is so low that you don't see the entire screen - or the part where the icons sit. Try moving the icons to the center of the screen and try it again.
