PDFs don't work on my system. they just crash!

I can't get the adobe reader to work. it just stalls and usually brings down the whole system with it.

I have tried using other pdf systems but they don't work much better.

oddly, I have photoshop version 7 and i can open them in this, albeit the process is rather laborious.
any ideas? Obviously I'm using windows ME.

PDF reader is an excellent alternative:

Foxit Reader 2.0 for Windows
http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php

And many say it's much better then Adobe.

I don't feel so alone now..lol I have basically the same problem. I can get mine to load up most of the time (not all) but it takes a lot longer than it should. I'll check into that link provided.

Had WINME and to install Adobe Reader -

try http://www.filehippo.com; go down to the original Adobe 6.0
There are several more updates under help, Update 2, 3 & 4. That is all WINME can use. Darrell L.
