Palm Desktop Online Replacement

by decarlod - 11/10/13 11:40 AM

My father who is 81 years old has a small business. He has been using Palm Desktop 3.1 since around 2000 and wont get off it. Over the years I have tried upgrading him to newer Palm Desktops and each time he hates it and had to revert it back to 3.1. I got 3.1 to work on Windows 7 a few years ago but now the databases are getting to full.

His calendar is full and I had to go and deletes its history which he doesn't like. He likes to go back and see what he did. It expands to the max even with nothing in it and I have constantly fix it. If I don't the program wont open.

His contacts have over 7000 entries and it crashes at times.

His memo database keeps getting corrupt like the calendar and wont open.

Anyway I want to put this online for 2 reasons. First he works in NYC in the spring, summer and fall. Then he goes to Florida in the winter. He has a desktop and when he leaves I have to sync his laptop up and its a pain in the rear. Then he adds stuff in Florida and then I have to sync the 2 when he comes back.

Second, I just want it online for ease of use for me supporting it and one day taking it over.

So what I need is an easy to use program that is online. I mean real easy just like the Palm Desktop where you can drag contacts over to the calendar and when you print the day schedule it shows the contacts name, address, and phone. This is why we never left version 3.1. It seemed this functionality was removed in later versions of Palm Desktop.

He doesn't even care about the time. He just drags his costumers(contacts) over to the day. He usually has between 5- 10 each day and he just drops them. Then went and printed out the page and everything was there.

If anyone knows an online day planner or organizer or something like it please reply.

Thanks
