I have a Z22 which is failing. I also own an unused Tungsten E. Can someone give me a method to transfer the backed up Z22 data on my computer to the Tungsten E?

I do not remember the exact steps.
But I did use the Palm Desktop and after I synced both units being careful to name them accordingly and NEVER the same name I went to the Palm Desktop software to copy and paste content from one device to the next.
Again, I do not have a step by step for you.

I thought I had the solution but can't make it work. I'll restate the problem. I have an old Z22 and a Tungsten E which is unused. They are both capable of hot syncing to my desktop under different names. The Z22 data is backed up on the computer and I need the method to transfer all of the backed up data to the Tungsten E

But my solution is the one I used. I had to write that it's been some time since I did this so I can't supply a step by step and had hope you could manuever the Palm Desktop app to get it done.

Both units sync to desktop under their own name and I was able to copy and paste all of my contacts and memos but cannot figure out how to get my calendar transferred. Were you able to do that?
Be careful. PalmOS Calendar was called "Datebook"

Noted at http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/10089_en.html we might consider copying the datebook.dat file from one user account to another using Windows "Explorer."
Sorry. Again I have no step by step but if I were to do this, the datebook.dat file appears to hold the key.
In theory, quit Hotsync, Palm Desktop (pc app) and then copy the file from the old to the new user in Explorer.
Start Hotsync, pull up Palm Desktop app and see if the calender moved.

Was able to search and find this file but have no hint as to how to follow up with transfer using Explorer.
Hmm, I would have used FileZ on the Palms.

Google up FILEZ.
It can send almost any file from one Palm to another. It's strictly guru level as to what file does what or contains what but it can open up your options.
And remember you wrote DATA. Not apps.
