PDAs forum: Palm T/X VS Lifedrive

I have the T|X and a 4GB SD card. You can guess if I have a lighter weight, slimmer and more battery time than the LifeDrive. Maybe you can find the LD on clearance somewhere?

the tx has a 312mhz processor and the lifedrive a 416mhz. and the life drive has a harddrive. but it is also $100 more as you mentioned. you could probally get a 4gb sd card for that much so id just go with the tx because flash memory is better then the harddrive.

It was from Amazon.com. Since it works, why do I worry about the name?

My 2GB cards (I have 2) are from Kingston (is that a name?) and were 47 bucks each. In the stores the prices seem to not fallen yet.

Tungsten E2 does not have wifi but you can buy a card very cheap. I have the E2 and has EXCELLENT battery life(charge it for a couple minutes every day and have not run the battery down to 75% yet). Great MP3 player(with headphones). Palm T|X has a bigger screen than the E2 and built in wifi but $100 more(less battery life than the E2).

Yeah, there's a lot of garbage being touted out there about the LifeDrive. But after owning mine for several months, it's just GREAT. I was one that laughed at those who seemingly shared intimate relationships with their PDAs -- now I'm one such person!

CNET downgraded it for having a non-user replacable battery, poor MP3 quality and being a little thicker than the T/X -- the latter two being issues that the serious bix users scowfs at. It's just a fine PDA with a LOT of onboard memory due to its unique hard drive.

My suggestion: download the latest software upgrades from support soon after the initial power-up and set-up. Then, treat it like the business partner it is!
