Bluetooth Phone + Palm TX Questions

I just got a Palm TX today, and I'm planning on getting myself a Motorola E815 within the week. There's good information on these boards about the capabilities of the bluetooth network, but I have some questions as to how well the phones and handhelds integrate.

1) Can I dial from the Palm, so I dont need to remove and open my phone when using a BT headset?

2) Can I send SMS messages from my Palm through my Cell Phone? I find the interface a lot easier.

From what I can see on the TX, yes you can dial from the device without having to pull ur phone out, just tap the contact in your phone book and hit dial. As long as your bluetoof is on in all three devices (your handset, your headset, and TX) and paired up then it should connect you *instantaneously*.

Except I don't know about ur decision with Motorola. If you're going with a t-mobile Motorola, they usually strip their bluetooth capabilities to the bare minimums. As someone was quoted saying earlier, they practically "neuter" the phone so I would worry more about the correct phone to have. I've tested Moto's almost since they came out with their first GSM phone and none of them cut it for me. They keep making same engineering and development mistakes throughout the years. Change your software development team! Anyways, that's neither here nor there...

Hi,

yes you can.. in general. but need to check with Motorola.. or borrow friends palm..

it works with the sony ericcson and others fine.

can call with one touch from address.. and send sms

But query.. : can you get caller id on the sms you receive?
