Driver Access Software - Can't Uninstall Error 1720

I downloaded and installed Driver Access. Now I can't uninstall it (Error 1720). I've emailed the company several times with specific information ... with no response. I also can't disable the setting that loads it on startup. Is this a virus? Is this company a fraud (Driver Assure Corp) ? Can anyone help me? I see ads on this site for 'uninstall fix it kits' ... but once bitten, twice shy ... I don't want to download any software anymore.

Why? Because I can get drivers from the machine makers or board maker sites.

Because folk do not want to do this the old fashioned way, driver finder software is incredibly popular but my opinion not reliable enough.

I totally agree ... Now. Hope others see this and avoid the problem all together. The hardware manufacturer had gone out of business, that's why I resorted to this. Thanks for replying. Linda

You don't tell why you can't disable that startup setting. So let me ask: why can't you disable that startup setting?

I'd start with rename the folder in Program Files it's installed in. Then it won't run anymore from the startup.

The creator greys out the option until you register the product. I'm not registering it ... I want it off my computer. So, I guess I'll go in and manually remove what I can ... and try to delete the entry in the registry with Dos commands the old fashion way.

I'd really just like to warn other people not to use this product. Thanks for responding. Linda

Tools I use to stop and uninstall.

1 REVO UNINSTALLER. Good and easy for most folk.
2. (advanced users) Hijackthis to remove startup items by force and then deleting the app's home folder. Not for the new user.
