Best software for damaged HDD data recovery?

My 1TB (tower type) HDD has dropped on the side while watching a video clip directly from it... There is 450GB of important data on it, what is the best software to do this job? I have a separate laptop and another 1TB working hdd for this job. Please help me I'm in big trouble

I know, I know that I always have to backup everything that's important, but it's too late now... Well I learned my lesson, but there's still "some" recovery to do.

Well, about this "RoadKil's Unstoppable Copier", is this something I can trust? From what I've read so far, is that if I keep doing these scans and recoveries, the HDD might fail completely or keep loosing data. But can just a drop on a side cause it to eventually fail completely? There's no grinding noise or anything like that, it's just clicking at some parts while reading files. I believe it's not that bad. Your opinions?

But I can't tell if you can trust anything today. That's YOUR CHOICE.

There is a very long discussion about data recovery and the person was very concerned about recovery software sending their files to somewhere. I fear that they can't be helped.
