Does text replay exist as software or application?

While I was working with American Airlines, the system had a function we could use to replay, or repeat, text we had written. Whether it was one sentence, a paragraph, or a bunch of formats, we used an alt^ for as many lines as we needed to retrieve. When I've written an email or a paper, and I clumsily, and rather often, end up erasing some or all of the text I've written, I certainly could be thrilled to be able to replace it. Is there a function like this that I am simply unaware of??

Undo?

Whichever application you are using to type emails, then the Edit menu > Undo option should be available.

And all Word Processors have that same option in Edit > Undo.

If you delete any text, Undo will return it.

Thanks for the reply Mark, but I use the undo semi circle, or edit undo often. But it's very different when one can avoid losing anything by replaying text. If I was asking a question of someone, and felt that I needed to ask it again, I wouldn't have to retype it. It was fun while it lasted. Cheers.
