CCleaner vs Winpatrol, are these the same type programs?

I am a novice in using computers although I been opearting one for over 15 years. I have both programs above.

I need opinions why I should have one or do I need both to keep my machine in tip top shape.

I have the free Avast Anitivirus program and free Comodo firewall installed and running.

WinPatrol and CCleaner

WinPatrol and CCleaner do not provide the same functionality although the complement each other well.

I'm bias towards WinPatrol so I'll let others answer. I'll just say WinPatrol is free and doesn't slow you down so there' no reason to remove it.

http://www.winpatrol.com/ notes a support link and since that's payware they should have a ready answer.

Both are OK apps and I may use CCLEANER about once a month it's a non-event and a very nice freebie.
