PC utilities forum: Firewall Keeps Asking for Permission for an Unknown Program

1. Can't you tell the firewall to Deny access permanently (not asking any more). Zonealarm has such an option, may Armor also?
2. Does the startup tab of msconfig show any unusual program running at boot?
3. Same for services.msc (showing services started automatically)?

It could very well be malware.

4. Tried system restore back to a 4 days ago? Might remove all.
5. Tried MBAM or SAS to check for malware?
6. Tried any online antivirus to check for malware?

Did the full scan with Malwarebytes and it found nothing. Used system restore to set the registry back 6 days. The firewall still pops up on startup wanting permission for the program driver. Blocking it doesn't stop it from showing up on the next startup. The programs section of the firewall shows 4 new entries for today for kls driver.

I don't see anything unusual in msconfig or on the startup list in WinPatrol, a security program.

and good work on finding it because I didn't find much at all when I searched.

I saw a comment in that discussion that said, "There is really no benefit to running MSE and online Armor together. Uninstalling Online Armor should resolve the problem". Personally I am not at all sure about that. I don't know MSE at all so I can't attest to its ability to protect as a firewall.

I also noted that you may be able to set OnlineArmor to exclude a particular folder in MSE's program folders and that might prevent future warnings about this.
