Suite of free Office-like programs

I remember a while ago seeing a suite of programs on Download.com that were similar to Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc) but was free. Does anyone know what this is called so I can download it?

Kingsoft Office

Kingsoft Office is a lesser know but also good alternative of Micorsoft, besides open office.

Kingsoft office is highly similar to Microsoft from interface to functionalities. The free version is extremely capable, offering robust counterparts to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. And file compatibility with all three. It's compact, fast, attractive and from what I've seen so far, totally file-compatible. The only problem is that it doesn't support Visual Basic or macros, however, so if you're a power user, you might want to consider the $69.95 Pro version.

It's free. What have you got to lose by giving it a try?

important features disabled in the free version.

Shame they've done that. It means it won't compete with OpenOffice or LibreOffice.

Quite different here.

I used open office before, for some reason, it takes forever to open everytime I clicked its desktop icon.

Kingsoft is much more smaller (only 82.5MB) and faster, I'd rather use a fast software than some low but with functions I never could possible use like this VBA macro.

Anyway, I'll stick with Kingsoft Office
